I am beginning to notice that when I am super busy, I am way more productive. It's like I turn it up a notch in all aspects of my life, and I am a whirlwind of productiveness. The bad thing is that it only happens about twice a year. And, one of them is now. The Holidays. The most wonderful time of the year ...
Since I am a chronic procrastinator I do a great job of waiting until the last minute to do ANYTHING related to Christmas. However, I am proud that the decorations are up, and have been for about two weeks. Yay for me. I basically did all of my Christmas shopping in three days. That's right three days. I also finished about 40 projects at work, cleaned five rooms of my home, did 8 loads of laundry, sent out 80 Christmas cards, baked two dozen cookies (oh yeah, I did), and a partridge in a pear tree.
It's almost like I become a Bazarro Bri that is on crack, and gets things done. However, there are two drawbacks to this -- one is when I am not busy, I really have a hard time doing anything. And, I mean there are days when I could just happily stare at the computer screen and watch the cursor blink. And, secondly, I tend to have whacked out random thoughts that pop in my head. I feel that this is my body's way of naturally distracted myself from becoming too crazy. Let me give you some examples of these thoughts:
* Will Smith looks weird without facial hair.
* Don't you think it's weird that you can technically have as many babies as you want? I mean, don't you think God would have put a limit on the number of babies your body can produce?
* And, I will leave you with this clip from the show "The Soup." It made me laugh so hard. I hope you find as much enjoyment:
