Boogle

This week has been hard on my creative self, as you can see there has been lack of material. My small fan base has been trying to get me to write ... but you can't force genius, people! I am working on a delightful blog about my dog and his life. Contrary to popular belief, dogs have complicated and meaningful lives. Ozzie even has a girlfriend who lives in our shed in the backyard. It is a forbidden love, for she is a chiuaua and he is but a mutt (plus I think he is a few logs shy of a load, if you know what I mean). The Ozzie Blog is coming soon.

I told my mom about this blog because I thought she would get a kick out of it. As it turns out, I don't think she liked it so much.

"I read your boogle," she said.
"You mean BLOG. Did you like it?" I ask, letting the complete butchering of the name slide knowing that it is just a Jillsy-ism to take note of for future reference. I was hoping that she would rave about how funny her daughter is or how skilled a writer I am.
"Did you know that you are listed as a male in your profile? That's probably because you don't want people to know you are a woman."
"Huh? I didn't mean to do that. Did you read the writing?" I plead, fishing for compliments.
"Yeah, it's cute."

Hmmm, not quite the rave review I was expecting. Obviously she was too distracted by the bells and whistles of the site to really read the magnificent writing. God bless my mom for getting into the internet now ... she is like a babe in her internet experience. She loves the forwards and has mastered the address book forwarding everything she can to everyone she knows. My brother has asked her many times if she thinks she is in middle school. Just today I got another random email from her. It was a Mapquest map of the Midwest. The subject was "This is where I am going!", and there was a little blue line stretching from the bottom of Indiana to the top corner of Ohio. It might make more sense if that is where she was indeed going, but she is not going there anytime soon.

Maybe someday my mom will have a boogle too. I am sure hers would be hilarious. You know, sometimes written in all caps just because she didn't know how to turn them off, or maybe more Mapquest maps of where she is going to go. I know that I would read it.

Happy Easter everyone!!!! I am going to go the Region and eat me some sausage.
