The Stars at Night are Big and Bright ...

Jake made it safely to Texas. I let out a huge sigh of relief when I heard his chipper voice on the other end of the phone. I was convinced that I had scarred him for life after leaving him at the curb in the airport. For those who don't know, he is terrified of flying. I, too, am scared of flying, but I am a silent sufferer. And for some reason when I am flying with him, I revert into being "the strong one" to try and comfort. He told me that this time the arm rest served as my hands, which I took as a compliment. He also told me that he was afraid to fall asleep, so he wouldn't put his arms around the lady sitting next to him. Probably a good move. I am sure that he and Nick will have some crazy times. However, I wasn't too worried when he called me at 3 p.m. just to tell me that he was watching "Blow Out" on Bravo, and it was the greatest day of his life. Poor Nick, I am afraid that Jake will be content watching "Dance 360" and "Blow Out" all day long. I wonder how many times Jake will have to say "Let's rock some hair" before Nick goes off on him.

Also, just an FYI, but now the Freaking Forecast (as I am going to name it) has thunder storms all down the line. It just wouldn't be vacation without the threat of violent weather everyday of the week. I also thought I would add the Corolla Surf Report, which I also keep a close eye on. Good news there, the water temperature is the same as the air temp. If the Tomato Patch had a web site, I would stalk that sucker too. Well, what do you know, it does!

I am outtie 5-0 for now. I can't wait to blog about our staff trip to King's Island next week. That's something you don't see everyday.
