The boys are very excited for Christmas. Every day Sam asks me if it is Christmas. Every. Single. Day. I thought it was kind of funny the first week he asked, but now it is getting out of hand. I have assured him that I will let him know when it is indeed Christmas. He also is very surprised that our Christmas tree is still there every morning. I am not sure what they are teaching him at school.
They also have an Elf on the Shelf named Ralphie (he also goes by Grinch). This makes them very excited to wake up and look for him. It is very exciting for me as well, especially when I forget to move Ralphie and have to stall my children and make up some excuse of why they cannot come downstairs.
In other news, Abe continues to lose his teeth at an alarming rate. We are up to eight teeth lost now. I am not too worried, though, because his two front teeth are about the size of 8 little ones. So, he is covered in the tooth arena. If all of his adult teeth are the size of his two front teeth, we might be in some trouble, as I think he will only be able to fit about two more in his mouth.
Sam has become extra entertaining as of late. He asks questions constantly, and his commentary on life in general is hilarious. I really think he would make a great character in a children's book. I call dibs. I like to think of him as a cross between Buddy the Elf and Will Ferrell playing Harry Caray. Here are some examples of his conversations:
Seconds after waking up, this is what he says, "Mama, Ozzie has sharp teeth. Dogs have sharp teeth. Dogs and vampires have sharp teeth."
"Why is Ozzie a dog?","Why is Superman a toy?", "Is sexy a bad word?"
Also, whenever he puts his pants on by himself they are backwards. Every time. How is that possible? I think maybe he likes the back pockets in the front, because that gives him easy access to them. He loves pockets so much.
Abe had his Christmas Program at his school. He looked so cute all dressed up, and I got a great seat front and center (I did some video-ing, but I can't figure out how to get it off my phone and onto this blog for now). As soon as he walked into the room he started frantically looking around for me, and I was frantically trying to get his attention so he wouldn't cry. Because, he was about to cry, and then I was about to cry. But, finally he saw me, he smiled and all was right with the world. Then he could get down to business being the star performer that he is.
