I just recently finished up a big client conference for work this week. I had been planning the event for a couple of months, so it was a relief to finish it. I think it was a success, but let me tell you, being pregnant really made my life a little more difficult. What, with all the throwing up here and there. Also, don't you think there is some law that protects pregnant women from working 15 hour days in high heels? I think there should be.
But, enough complaining, it is over. And, I made it. Praise Jesus.
Abe got to visit his Baba and Rob (or now Grandma and Papa as he calls them. See, he will just call you whatever he wants, Dad) while Mama was working. I think he had a really great time. I actually don't think he missed us at all -- I am sure it is a lot more fun to go to Grandma and Rob's house. He always comes home with twice as many toys as he came with, and I am pretty sure he gets to do whatever he wants. Being at our house must feel like a prison with all of those time outs and no DQ every night.
I missed Abe terribly and when he came home, I noticed he picked up some new inflections to his language. When I say inflections, I basically mean bad habits that people use while talking. For instance, lately after we ask him a question he will stop and go, "Ummmm.... Uhhhhh... No." When I asked him yesterday if he had a fun time at Grandma's he said, "Yep. MMmmmHmmmm." It was probably the cutest thing I have ever heard.
On Baby #2 front, or Moses as Jake likes to refer to him (or her), besides the throwing up and aversion to all foods and all around tiredness, things are going good. I got to see the little bean in an ultrasound, and it was already moving around. This pregnancy has been a little different than Abe's. I don't think I am sick as much, and I think my complexion is much better. I know, weird. Also, when I have cravings, it is mostly for meat. I have no desire to eat any vegetables or salads. And, I love ice. How weird is that? Oh, and I think I already look at least 3 months pregnant. I am already in my "fat" jeans because I cannot button my others. If I get brave enough I will post a far away photo of my belly. I just am very much looking forward to that second trimester. I pray that I will start eating like myself again. I don't want to get scurvy.

An old wives tale was that if you crave ice, it means you're anemic. That with the craving for meat...maybe your are??!! Keep eating those iron rich foods! I hope you are feeling better soon.
Hello, you have a tendancy to be anemic! EAT RED MEAT!
