Years at Outerbanks: My first one was when I was 10, but I can't remember if we took 1 or if it was 2 years of different vacations after that...so around 15.
Favorite Beach Activity: speculating on the amount of water in the Ocean(all I'm saying is there has to be AT LEAST 700,000 gallons of water in there)
Favorite Beach Game: Volleyball
Favorite Beach Food: Spiced Shrimp
Favorite Beach Song: Scatman
Favorite Beach Drink: When in doubt, I always go to the lefthander
Favorite Memory: One of John's old houses would always leave "NBA Jam" for us to enjoy. One night we played an extremely fierce battle back and forth. John had the ball down one with 3 seconds to go and had a wide open dunk. Instead of just dunking it, Scottie Pippen decided to do 40 flips...thrilling dick vitale, "woahhhhh". Unfortunately, (for John) it took 4 seconds. The buzzer sounded, with the image frozen showing the ball still in Pippen's hands, 1 mm away from the rim.
Favorite Beach Tradition:
Some past traditions that have been discontinued or altered: Drinking in the garage before we are allowed in the house discussing who, if their careers ended today, would be elected into the baseball hall of fame.
Breaking into the locked closet and using whatever the owners intended us not to use.
Very late at night the Friday before we leave OBX, destroying every sandcastle that children and their parents spent countless hours building, while singing our anthem.
Favorite thing to do to pass the time in the car: I have been known to sleep entire trips...not literally of course.
Early riser or Night Owl (on the beach): certainly a Night Owl
Have any Beach Injuries? Sprained ankle in the ocean. got hit in my eye and saw double vision for 2 days. Actually I see double vision a lot on vacation.

Yes, of course! I walked on the yellow line for minimal comfort and also rested by standing on my shirt occaisonly.
I remember there was a girl named summer rain or something. She could have been hanging out with Dillon. We thought that was a fake name. Was that BBK?
