Years at Outerbanks: I'm told it's our 16th year, but I went down twice two years in a row...so maybe my 19th trip?
Favorite Beach Activity: being a Rad Surfer Chick, playing one of the many competitive beach sports, and laughing all day.
Favorite Beach Game: Bocce Favorite Beach Food: peanuts on the beach and Dad's salsa
Favorite Beach Song: "Grandma Wants to Go Outside"
Favorite Beach Drink: ice cold beer, but this year it will be water!
Favorite Memory: Oh gosh, this is hard! Counting dozens of shooting stars with Bri, celebrating at least 5 birthdays, days with scary-huge waves, getting engaged, The Elevator Diaries, and watching all our familiesgrow over the years.
Favorite Beach Tradition: rolling down all the windows when we cross the bridge and guitar parties, of course!
Favorite thing to do to pass the time in the car: read gossip mags, sleep, and ask how much longer we have.
Early riser or Night Owl (on the beach): Usually one of the last to go to bed and first down to the beach...this year may be a different story as I will be sleeping for two! :)
Have any Beach Injuries? Belly rash from boogie boarding, crab bites on toes, and some really foolish sunburns.
Have any Beach Romances? Ha--yes! Aaron Valin from Beaverdam, Virginia when I was 12-13. He gave me a beaded necklace and we wrote letters all year. Monte pretty much took over from there andhas been going for 11 years!
