It has been waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long since I have written on here. My kids are shaving their faces and married with two kids. I promise I will try harder. For any of you following me on Instagram, you know that I have been posting photos there like a maniac. So you all knew that my children do not in fact have hair on their faces.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Instead of a lengthy narrative I will instead briefly recap my favorite moments and photos from the weekend. Yes, this is probably the lazy way out, but really, I need to start back into blogging slowly or my brain may explode.
Here were some of my favorite moments from Thanksgiving 2012:
Making zombie turkeys with Abe, Sam, Jake, Karli, and Baba.
Staying up late on Wednesday night with just my brother, and watching pieces of Gone With the Wind sort of drunk.
My Dad busting out a rusty wrench to pull some metal thing out of the turkey, only to a few hours later use the same rusty wrench to change a light bulb.
Sam being enamored with Baba and Rob's carousel.
Sitting in the hot sun room with everyone watching _______ (Macy's parade, dog show, football, Hall and Oates random show on Palladia that my Dad likes, Spider-Man).
Watching Abe and Sam love the most horrible movie, A Christmas Story 2 like only true, die-hard Christmas Story fans would do.
Abe telling me he is thankful for me.
Abe making all of the place cards and then deciding where everyone would sit (He proudly seated himself between Gaga and Rob.)
Karli reading tweets to us by Gary Janetti.
Watching my 86-year-old grandma on an ipad.
Experiencing Jill and Rob's stuffing competition and enjoying both immensely.
Sam and Abe loving drinking their "spicy" drinks out of fancy glasses, and Sam walking over to Abe to "dink" him. (Cheers him.)
The look on my Grandma's face when she saw my Dad boiling the turkey carcass, and telling him that she remembered when Grandpa did that and made the house smell, "like a LOCKER ROOM."
All of the food.
Toy Story marathons.
My family. These kids. I am thankful for them all.
