Freudian Four Year Old Moments

In Abe's school this month, the theme is "All About Me" and this week they are focusing on their families. Today they were to draw a picture of their family. Jake was looking at Abe's drawing -- Mama, Daddy, and Abe. Someone was glaringly missing.

"Abe, why isn't Sam in the picture?" Jake asked.

"He's at the doctor," Abe said very matter of factly.

I thought that was a pretty creative answer. Knowing Sam's track record, it would be completely plausible that he was indeed at the doctor. However, he would most likely not be at the doctor by himself, so there were some holes in his theory.

Abe later admitted that he just didn't know how to draw Sam. To which Jake replied, "Just draw a big head with a tiny body." I am wondering if there is something more to the missing Sam. I guess we will learn more from Abe's drawings. I really hope that he doesn't start drawing mustaches on me or something.

Yes, our Abe is definitely feeling the pangs of little brother horning in on his world. Hence, pants on the head routine. It's okay, we all went through it. He'll learn to deal with this new guy, and make him his bestest friend some day.
