Month Two

Dear Sam,

You are only two months old and already you have a zillion nicknames -- Sambino, Samboni, Samwich, Pootylicious. The list could go on. I think that mostly you are affectionately called Baby Sam. I am assuming you will grow out of that one eventually.

(Note: On this video, you may want to turn the volume down so you don't have to hear my annoying Baby Talk.)



Of course the time has flown that I have been home with you. It has been a much different experience than with Abe for tons of reasons -- just the fact that Abe exists this time around makes it different. Plus, your Daddy is here, too, which gives me more time to kiss your cheeks (which your Daddy thinks I do too much - is that even possible?)

You are a very good baby. In fact, you smile more than any baby I have ever seen. Of course this makes me think you are very advanced. And, then, in total Bri fashion I grow worried that maybe something is wrong with you that you are smiling so much. I have restrained myself from googling that one. You even laugh! I am a big fan of the Baby Sam laugh. You try so hard to make a noise come out of your mouth, and only sometimes something comes out.

Everyone says you look like Abe, but I think you look different. I mean, I am not blind, there are definitely similarities, but you look like you. And, I know you will be totally different from him (in a good way). Speaking of Abe, you love to look at him. I can already see into the future when you are following him around and wanting to do everything he does. I hope that he will be good to you and not pretend you are invisible like I did to Robby (sorry Robby).



I have to be honest, I was really scared when I brought you home. What were your daddy and I thinking having another kid? Were we crazy? But, now, when I look at you I know that our family is complete and it could never be another way. You are a beautiful blessing to us, and I will kiss your cheeks as much as I want, so your Daddy can suck it.
