I just thought it would be good to check in and let you know that I am still here, still pregnant, and still sassier than ever (a word that I prefer to use, as opposed to bitchier).
I have stopped taking photos of myself, because I really want to spare everyone that small shriek of amazement when they see my freakishly large stomach. It is huge. And, I would like to leave it to everyone's imagination what "huge" is, because I am sure that some people's imagination's "huge" is not as huge as it is in real life. Even my mother-in-law could not hold back her, "You are enormous" comment. But, I am sure she meant that only in the nicest way. And, I know she speaks the truth. It is shocking. This baby better deliver on his giant reputation, because what will I have then? Just a giant stomach.
Anyways, Abe is still in the midst of potty training, and I think we are making progress. I can tell you that I am so sick of poop and pee I could die. However, seeing him wear teeny tiny underwear does make up for some of it. It is really the cutest thing I have ever seen.
He is really getting the concept of the new baby, and now will give my stomach kisses and hugs. We went on a hospital tour last week, and brought him along (mostly because we had to) and he was actually pretty good. He was SO EXCITED to see babies. Unfortunately we only saw one baby in the nursery, and I don't believe it really satisfied his need. At that point he checked out of the tour and started saying, "SHARK! SHARK!" the entire time. Yeah, we don't understand that either.
But, speaking of the hospital it is totally pimped out. It is a different hospital than where I delivered Abe because my OB only goes to this one now. Each room looks like a little mini spa, and there are flat screen TVs and a jacuzzi in it. I think Jake thinks the jacuzzi is for the husbands. I am sure he will be in there watching Bravo on the flat screen while I am in labor.
There is also a computer that swings from the ceiling, so if I really wanted to, I could give everyone minute-by-minute updates on the labor. It sounds a lot more fun now than it may actually be. I guess it all depends how it goes. I will be sure to capture the baby's first photos and his tiny little tank top that he will come out with, featuring his giant biceps, his tiny little mustache, and the hot dog he will eat for his first meal. He probably has all of his teeth too, and he has named himself Clyde.
I will try to keep everyone updated in the final weeks, and keep my sassiness on the DL.

Hello! Who is your OB? I'm assuming you are delivering at Clarian North?
My OB is Dr. Ball in Zionsville, and yes, I am delivering at Clarian North. Hopefully it is as nice as it seems!
One of my good friends is a Labor and Delivery Nurse there and she just had her own baby there in January. Maybe she will be back by the time you deliver. She is great! Can't wait to see you at lunch soon!
