The Twitch: Week Five

Yes, I still have a twitch.

Hopefully this won't turn into a documentation like Abe's -- month by month, week by week.

Things have seemingly gotten better in the ways of my stressdom, but the twitch still lingers. I have been doing some more google searches, and have come to the conclusion that I have BED - Benign Essential Blepharospasm. It is a focal dystonia (a neurological movement disorder involving involuntary and sustained muscle contractions) of the muscles around the eyes. It says that it could be from fatigue, and may eventually cause blindness.

But, it could be just fatigue and anxiety, and maybe it will just get better in 18 years when Abe is safely tucked away at college, studying every night in a dorm room.

Anyways, this weekend Jake and I are headed up to Chicago for a Bears game with the same gang as last time. I am really looking forward to having a little getaway and the possibility of sleeping in past 7 a.m. Grandma Jillsy is coming up to watch little Abe, so I know he will be in good hands. Maybe my eye twitch will subside for a few days. Only time will tell. Until then, I will be sure to keep you posted on its twitchiness.

Okay believe me, you learn more about tailgating the more years you do it. This is from a true Buckeye that "experienced" tailgaing for 7 years while we lived in Delaware,Ohio. Sounds like the Bears have become your tailgating/U of I reunion weekend. Which is way cool. Believe me, by the time you are 50- something, you'll have it down-pat. The cool thing is...is that you are doing it. And THIS will be your tradition for years many to come.GO BEARS!
