Friday

I don’t really have a cohesive thought to convey but I do have lots of random things to talk about. Most of the people that read this stuff will find them strange, some will find them appalling, and some will really, really enjoy them.

Chicago Trip
I really should dedicate more space to this, but I really don’t have the energy. It was a great trip – beautiful weather, lovely company, and a big “W” for the Bears. We had a really good time with the group, and the tailgating definitely earns at least a B+ on sheer improvement. We had a nice set up, and lots of extra food. We even had carrots and hummus. Now that is what I call progressive!

Twitching
Yes, the twitch is still here. In fact, I am going to the doctor on Monday to find out what is wrong with me (there are other problems other than the twitch). This week I have researched hepatitis, meningitis, thyroid disease, chronic fatigue syndrome, Lyme disease, and ovarian cancer. Google got a workout. In all seriousness, I hope that it is not one of the more serious diseases. I will keep you posted.

Zac Efron
Last night, I had a dream about Zac Efron. And, today, I cannot stop thinking about him. You know, in the way that you can’t stop thinking about someone you dream about. I find it very funny that we were dating in my dream (it was PG people, get your mind out of the gutter). I remember there were some hard feelings with the rest of his HSM (High School Musical) castmates, and his skanky girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens.(see photo of Zac and Vanessa here). We had to get approval from his older sister to date.

Anyways, those of you not familiar with Zac or HSM, please don’t be alarmed that I am familiar with them. Is it weird that I am attracted to a 19 year old, pretty boy? Yes, I think so. Is it weird that I have seen High School Musical (1 and 2)? No, not really. (I am choosing to not defend myself on that.) It actually is not that bad. And, just try to not have a crush on little Zac Efron after you watch it. And, I can only defend my crush on the fact that he reminds me of Kevin Bacon circa Footloose, and while I do not find Kevin Bacon even remotely attractive, I do love me some Footloose.

Tim Russert
Did you know that Tim Russert went to John Carroll University? That about blew my mind yesterday at work. Fascinating. If anyone else would like some more information on Tim, I would be happy to help – I read a very lengthy Q&A on him in a PR publication. (That should totally redeem myself from admitting to watching High School Musical).

Fried Green Tomatoes
Last night while watching Lifetime (Yes, Lifetime. It is located between MTV and Bravo), I stumbled upon Fried Green Tomatoes. I had never seen it. So, it was a new discovery! Discovering old movies has to be one of my Top Five Favorite Things To Do. Anyways, I thought it was really good, and I enjoyed a good cry.

… and last but not least …

Ozzie
Ozzie is balding. We aren’t sure what to make of it, but his hair is falling out a freakish rate. Could he be allergic to Cheerios and Mac and Cheese? Could the stress of Abe hitting him in the face be causing this? We will find out tomorrow. Poor Doggie.
