No Baby For You

Just so everyone can calm down, I wanted to let you know that I have not had the baby yet. I am really thinking at this point he is NEVER coming out. I realize that it is still before my due date (6 days, but who is counting), but I had to start dilating, effacing and contracting to make me think that I was actually going to have this kid in a reasonable time. Apparently, not so. I could be dilating, effacing and contracting for weeks. Which is such a nice thought, I can't possibly contain my glee. I don't really remember the chapter in any of my books that addressed the "contracting for days and weeks," so just FYI for all of you wanting to get pregnant soon.

So, I have tried everything to get Baby out. Yesterday I ate an entire pineapple. I guess it has some sort of enzyme in it that starts labor. It didn't work. It did, however, burn off all of my taste buds.

I drank three cups of raspberry tea. This also burned off any remaining taste buds, and both did a good job of providing acid reflux.

I did some "stairs" at our house. It wasn't exactly like the Rocky movie, but it did make me tired. Plus, I was wearing my new fuzzy blue robe, so I looked like a Dr. Seuss character bopping along.

I tried to get Jake to go for a run with me. The look on his face told me the answer.

I have eaten spicy food. Does nothing.

I have gotten on my knees and prayed. So far nada.

I have asked the baby politely to come out.

I have yelled at the baby to come out.

I have apologized to the baby for yelling.

I just feel so bad that everyone has their hopes up and my parents came up this weekend. I feel like I am tricking them. I feel like Mother Nature is tricking me. But, I guess this is how it works. Poor Jake can't sleep or think about anything else either. Thank goodness our doctor prescribed a sleeping pill, because I would not be sleeping at all.

So, just plan on this baby coming sometime in October. That is what I am thinking. I need to get used to the contractions as part of my life now.

That is all I have to say about that.

full moon on sept 7th? I believe this confirms that Bri will give birth to the wolfman.

He will come.....I planted flowers right before Clay came.....I think it was that crouching position that did it. You know like when they just crouched in the field and gave birth. Well it might be worth a try and your house will look beautiful.
