Checking In

Just thought that I would check in to let you all know that I have not died, and that I indeed intend to keep updating this blog even if it is only once every 10 days and is so boring people make faces at the computer screen when they read it. I am very, very bored. I have found that I do not function very well when I am bored. I do much better when I am busy. I know what you all are thinking, "Why don't you start needle pointing or starting on your novel or putting Ozzie's hair into corn rows?" Well, it's because it doesn't seem to work like that. It is just one vicious cycle, where I can't seem to do anything but the bare minimum. So, just deal with it.

The highlights of my days now are when the baby moves. I am so fascinated and overjoyed with this new development that no matter when he moves I feel the need to A) pull up my shirt and watch and B) announce his movement to everyone in the room. This leads to people putting their hands on my stomach wherein the baby decides to stop moving, making his mama look like a total and complete liar. I am not lying, I swear. He moves so much (and now so forcefully) that I am convinced he has set up some kind of fort in there involving the umbilical cord, some of my ribs, and any other organs he can get his hands on. I can tell already that he is going to be quite the handful, and it really makes me happy. I want him to be mischievous and silly and adventurous. I have a feeling that he is going to make us laugh a lot.

So that is that. Just baby movement and lots of weight gain on my side. My doctor doesn't seem to be alarmed, but I just don't think that seven pounds in one month is okay. I thought that maybe, maybe I don't have to have dessert after every meal. We will see how that works out.

Oh, and still nothing on the job front. I am waiting to hear if I got a job that I interviewed for last week, and I have another interview with that place that made me take the interview test (remember?) tomorrow. I don't really want to go at all, because I am so tired of interviewing, and I am a little scared that they will ask me to do some kind of ridiculous task like build a spaceship or sing all of the words to "We Didn't Start the Fire."

That’s all. I am going to go back to being bored now.

All I have to say is ....enjoy your "boring life" now cause, you will not have any time to yourself till he's 18. Sorry...

Hey, that's nothing. I've seen someone gain 10 pounds in a day! I won't mention any names, but it involved turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pie, my husband...

I hope little one is especially excited on Memorial Day so I can feel him doing acrobatics in his fort.
