Newsletter: Summer 2013

Back when I was in college (a time that seems almost scarily long ago ... a time filled with overalls and birkenstocks ... a time when I had nothing but time), I put together a little newsletter during the summer for all my friends. Seeing as the Mullally family had just gotten the internet the year before,  it was super high-tech, and I printed that newsletter out and sent it in the mail. (Also, I was really, really bored, and really, really missed my college friends).

In addition to reporting on my exciting life in Richmond, I would do a round-up of sorts of what everyone else was up to. Back then, we used the telephone for communication. Like, a real telephone. Some were even attached to a wall. And, I would call my friends and chat with them, and report back to everyone via the newsletter.

I also would show off my stellar graphic skills and include some clip art, and a quote. Probably from the Indigo Girls or Dave Matthews.

Despite all of this, I am pretty sure everyone really liked it. In fact, I have heard from a few of my friends that they still had their newsletters. I am not really sure where I am going with this, but when I thought about writing this post, it reminded me of those newsletters. I promise to keep the clip art to a minimum.

Anyways, this summer is going to be very fun. I think. I hope. I really hope this summer is going to be very fun. I really need to have a good summer. Just for, you know, my sanity. No pressure summer. But, there are a lot of activities planned, which include 3 concerts (maybe four), some roadtrips, and vacations. Plus, whatever else comes up. Which apparently I am up for doing. Because, I am a person of "yes" now. I do everything.

I will be sure to report back on the exciting adventures, via the newsletter of the future (aka this blog.) Isn't it crazy, guys!?!? Technology is amazing!

I love it! I want more clip art. And I miss phones attached to the wall.
