Sam's Goonies Party

| We like to party. |
We celebrated Sam turning three with a Goonies-themed party (although my mom was pretty much trying to change that to a pirate party, and the only people that dressed up like Goonies characters were Jake, me, Abe, Sam, Karli, and Robby.) But, Goonies was playing in the background on loop for a few hours, and there were random spatterings of Goonies toys all over. Also, I like to think that my food choices of Dominoes pizza, Pepsi, Baby Ruth's, and Rocky Road ice cream were clever. Really though, people were just wondering why I was wearing a beret and pearls. Overall, the party was a success. Sam loved every second, and it was a great time hanging out with our friends and family.

POTTY TRAINING!! JAZZ HANDS!!!
I would like to formally announce that Sam is officially potty trained. Can you believe it? Me neither. The stubborn little guy finally came around and succumbed to the ways of society, and agreed with us that peeing and pooping in his pants just wasn't cool. I think there is hope for him yet. Sorry, no photos for this one. Oh wait, here is a cute picture of Sam at the soccer game in the sub-zero temps. Just know that he is wearing teeny tiny underwear and they are dry.
Mini Marathon 2012 - I'm having a Me Party
This year I am doing the Mini alone. Because someone and someone else aren't joining me. So what if one of them is pregnant. UNACCEPTABLE. I have been left to train all by myself.
But, hey, what happens at a me party, stays at a me party. So, I am fully planning to have a crazy awesome fun time running 13.1 miles without my friends. I am actually nervous about it this year. I will let you know how it all goes.
Eating Sardines all up in Cannery Row, yo
I just got back from my company's annual Spring Forum which is traditionally on the west coast. This year it was in Monterey Bay, CA, which is a very cool place. I have included some photos I took from my phone. Pardon the crapiness, for I have a crappy phone. The first one is taken of Cannery Row (see the banner with John Steinbeck's face on it?). I will spare going through the history of all this, but basically they canned sardines here back in the day and John Steinbeck wrote a book called, "Cannery Row." I haven't read it and not really planning too. I did eat a sardine while I was there. Not very good.
This is a shot of the water on the bay. Really beautiful stuff. The conference was good, but exhausting. And, I am so happy to be home.
I have tons more things I could talk about, but it is best if I just cut this off right here. I have lots of good stuff about Abe and Sam. More later.
