Technology is cool?

Okay, so I just had to blog from the hospital. Just because I can, and because I am currently feeling no pain. I am pretty tired, though, so I may be a little loopy. ANyways, here is the update:

Jake and I got here last night, and I was already having contraction and was dilated to 1 cm on my own. Which, I find to be very positive, considering this baby is stubborn. Then, they start me on my tiny little pills every four hours to "soften the cervix." This caused many, many more contractions that were pretty painful at times. One contraction was 4 minutes long! Yeah, that's right. It caused me to miss some important info int he Biggest Loser.

So,after about 4 hours of experiencing pain, I thought, Hey I can help this! And, I got some Nubane which was FANTASTIC! It was like being drunk in 10 seconds. I knew I needed something for the pain if i was going to get any sleep. So, I slept in about 2 hour increments and I seemed to remember that Zoolander was on TV. Random.

ANyways, at 6 a.m. they started me on Pitocin. OUCH. OUCH. and broke my water. HOLY MARY MOTHER OF GOD OUCH. and now i have an epidural. sweet relief. And, who knows how far along I have dilated. Let's hope it is like 5 or something.

Jake is reading some nerdy young adult book. ANd, I am going to try to get some rest. I am getting pretty hungry. I haven't eaten since lunch yesterday. That really sucks.
